Los Angeles Lockdown
So far in this very young season, the Los Angeles Lakers’ follow-up to last year has been befitting of Hollywood. This follow-up is bigger, tighter, and leaner. What’s more is that through three games their play has been more than the mere blockbuster second act: it has fixed the one glaring plot weakness of the original. We want to root for winners and support winners. It makes it easier on our psyche and makes the game more enjoyable.
Which makes it tougher when teams in the NBA are counting down the days until 2010.
Los Angeles Lakers Season Preview
Los Angeles had a relatively quiet summer in terms of personnel moves. Perhaps the most noteworthy action was the lack thereof, particularly as it concerned Lamar Odom and a potential trade for Ron Artest. In general, team management seemed to take the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it approach” and did not tamper at all with the core of the lineup that went to the Finals last June.
Washington Wizards Season Preview
If the Wizards are going to be continue to be successful this season, playing top notch defense has to be a goal, and head coach Eddie Jordan has said as much as during the preseason.
