With less than 10 games remaining for Atlanta and Toronto every game matters as both of these teams scrape and claw for playoff position. Toronto appears to have a spot locked up, however they are hoping to stay out of the seventh spot and a first round match-up with Detroit while Atlanta is trying to secure a spot in the playoffs for the first time since the 1998-99 season. With teams having lots to play for tonight it looks like it should be a great game for fans of both …

For this version of Inside Enemy Territory I had the pleasure of chatting with Ryan from Hornets 24/7 about Chris Paul, former Raptor Morris Peterson and a couple other issues pertaining to today’s game. Enjoy!

1. Morris Peterson was a huge fan favourite during his time in Toronto. However, last season he butted heads with Sam Mitchell and saw his minutes drastically reduced. What kind of role does Peterson have with the Hornets this season?

Recently, a decreasing one. It’s not that he’s butting heads with Byron Scott, he does what …

Which Raptors squad will we see tonight? Will it be the team that was embarrassed by New York back in February or the impressive team we saw Wednesday night? With the Raptors facing the prospect of being the seventh seed in the East, tonight’s game is a must win for this team if they want to avoid playing Detroit in the first round of the playoffs. To prepare Raptors fans for this game I was able to exchange some emails with Seth from Posting and Toasting to give Raptors fans the …

For the latest Inside Enemy Territory I was able to get the scoop on the Pistons from Natalie at Need 4 Sheed. Enjoy!
1. Juan Dixon didn’t get much burn this season for Toronto. How’s he looking for Detroit? Will he be part of Flip Saunder’s rotation in the playoffs?
He’s looking good in the limited time he’s been on court. In fact, he lit it up in his first game with extended minutes after only running through one practice with Detroit, going 6-for-7 for 14 points in Chauncey Billups’ absence.
I have …

With Toronto’s game against Denver about to tipoff in a couple hours I’m scrambling to get this up in time so I won’t provide a proper intro. Sorry! A huge thanks goes out to Nick from The Nugg Doctor for stepping in and providing some stellar insight into the Denver Nuggets.
1. Denver is facing the prospect of winning 50 games and missing the playoffs. How frustrating is this idea to Nuggets fans? Are you a fan of the idea of the top 16 teams making the playoffs regardless of conference?
It’s …

A huge thank you goes out to Vivek from Crazy From The Heat for taking part in this version of Inside Enemy Territory. He took part in this column two weeks ago when Toronto and Miami met up, and despite having computer problems he still managed to answer my questions. I gained a lot of respect for Vivek after he wrote to me last night, “I don’t go in the office until 11am tomorrow so I burned some midnight oil (and my cousins electric bill), in an effort to …

When I first started following the NBA some of my favourite players were Karl Malone, John Stockton, Byron Russel, Austin “Big Dog” Carr and Jeff Hornacek, and with ornery Jerry Sloan leading the team they were my favourite team all through high school. Once Toronto was granted an expansion franchise just over a decade ago my allegiances switched to the hometown team yet I’ve still followed Utah closely and one of my favourite ways to follow the team is through My Utah Jazz.
With the Raptors set to face off …

With the Raptors about to play the Kings I had the pleasure of chatting with Tom from Sactown Royalty to review the Raptors’ next opponent. His blog is one of the top basketball blogs on the ‘net and he proved why with some thorough answers to my questions on the Kings season.
1. Mike Moreau recently posted a great article on Hoopsworld where he wrote: “Kevin Martin is the fifth-leading scorer among two guards in the NBA – behind Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Dwayne Wade and Michael Redd. Of these five …

With the Raptors about to face the Nuggets we turned to longtime friend of Hoops Addict, The Nugg Doctor, to answer some questions about his team. With Denver trying to steal the final playoff spot in the Western Conference from either Dallas or Golden State look for tonight to be a huge battle for the Raptors. To help get you ready for this big game we asked the Nugg Doctor a couple questions. Enjoy!

1. Which teams are the Nuggets looking to knock out of the playoff picture?
At this point, …

The best in the west? That’s how some are portraying the revamped L.A. Lakers. The last time these two teams met, the big trade had just been consummated and Kobe Bryant showed his exuberant self on the floor as he trashed the Raps. Now, a month after the trade, the Raptors get ready to meet the Lakers just days after a frustrating loss to the Kings.
HoopsAddict.com sat down with Kurt from Forum Blue and Gold to discuss the Lakers and their bright future.
Q: With all the trades finished …
