* A new reality show with Carmelo Anthony called Carmelo’s Way is being filmed and the trailer is now online.
* Matt Moore has a great interview with David West where he talked with the Hornets All-Star forward about the value of napping, how important the “pick-and-pop” has been for the Hornets this season and his hobby of creating mixtapes.
* The Big Lead scored an interview with David Aldrige that’s a must read for any basketball fan.
* The Dagger is reporting that Billy Packer may have announced his last Final Four game.
* In a post this weekend Brian McCormick talked about how training with a dog can help improve your dribbling. Yes, you read that right, training with a dog can help you become a better ball handler.
* Huge props to Adam for posting a link to a YouTube clip of a Digital Underground sound from 1994 about Jason Kidd. Pure brilliance.
* Anthony Grant received his second pay increase in as many years while Blaine Taylor is rumoured to be in consideration to be the next head coach at Standford.
* Hardwood Paroxysm feels Greg Oden should be called The Big Chill.
* Rod Benson wrote a highly entertaining post about his debut on ESPN.
* Ball in Europe is reporting that FIBA is looking at making some significant rule changes.
* Hardwood Paroxysm announced their 2008 Bloggers Awards and I was stoked to see Hoops Addict pick up a couple awards. For the Readers Choice awards we were runner up for Atlantic Division Readers Choice and we were named Eastern Conference Bloggers Choice. Not bad, eh! I’m still waiting for Matt to send me a slick image I can post with pride here on the Hoops Addict.
* The end of year MVP and Rookie of the Year blogger rankings are up on We Rite Good.
* Huge props to The Big Lead for posting some classic pictures of Marissa Miller throwing out the first pitch at at Cubs game.
* This isn’t hoops related but I couldn’t help but pass on posting a link to a new children’s book called My Beautiful Mommy which is a story that attempts to teach kids about plastic surgery.

* Calvin Richardson is releasing a new album in May and you can listen to three new songs from the album by clicking here.
* The video for The Roots’ new song Rising Up is now online. We Do It Right has a leak of some of the other songs from the album and I’ll be one of the first people to buy this album on April 29th.
* Kanye West released a video for Homecoming. When his album dropped last summer I was stoked to see how he would incorporate Coldplay but this is one of the tracks from his album that disappointed me because he used lyrics from another track he had earlier released and I haven’t been able to get into this track. Am I the only person who feels this way?
* Pete Rock has a great new song with Redman called Till I Retire that I haven’t been able to get out of my head all weekend.
* Usher released a remix of Love In The Club with Beyonce and Lil Wayne.
