Top Three Fantasy Performers - 03/11

hafantasy1.jpgLet’s keep it short and simple today, sound good? Here are the Top Three Fantasy Performers for March 11th:

1. Kobe Bryant – 34 Points, 7 Rebounds, 7 Assists, 4 Steals, 1 Block, and 4 Turnovers: Kobe has dominated the Raptors in previous years and his relentlessness has not slowed down. Bryant shot 12-20 from the field and hit four three-ballers in the Lakers victory.

2. Drew Gooden – 24 Points, 10 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 1 Steal, 3 Blocks, 3 Turnovers: It’s good to see that Gooden can still put up numbers like this as he has had a disappointing fantasy season. Hopefully the trade will get him going and we can expect more lines like the above one. On another note, The Bulls did defeat the Jazz to inch ever so close to the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.

3. Amare Stoudemire – 29 Points, 13 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 1 Steal, 2 Turnovers: Amare scored 29 points in 31 minutes as the Suns dismantled the Grizzlies. It’s great to see that Amare has bounced back from his knee surgeries and regained his explosiveness. He is a must start in all types of league play.

Kobe scorched the Raps with one hand… imagine he would do if fully healthy? The thought gives me shivers.

Next season Gooden is going to be one of my sleeper picks. Whenever he’s gotten burn (Orlando, Cleveland, Memphis) he’s been close to a 20-10 guy, there’s no reason to think he won’t get 35+ minutes a night next season.

It all depends on the growth of players like Noah and Thomas that will affect Gooden the most. I hope he has a bounce back year next year but if you own him for this year, just feel out the roller coaster ride till the end.
