This is a question I’ve been asking myself since yesterday’s loss at home to Golden State, which I was lucky enough to attend. Conveniently, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports on Bosh’s inconsistent play of late in yesterday’s paper.
Chatting with a friend over IM, I said something that probably goes beyond the areas of my expertise: has Bosh maxed out his skills? Might this be the best we’re ever going to see the 6’11” power forward?
And so I ponder. My friend replies, “If he can start hitting jumpers more …

It’s good to see that it didn’t take too long for the Knicks to raise attention the wrong way. Kobe Bryant is still on the Lakers, Shaquille O’Neal looks like he retired, and Rasheed Wallace is back to filling out the stat sheet. Here’s a look at a few of the topics being discussed over the past week on the FantasyFanatics.com fantasy basketball forum:
Andrew Bynum Is Learning the Game
At some point this season, likely sooner than later, Andrew Bynum is going to figure a few …

When last we left these two teams, Calderon was lying on the ground, screaming in pain as he lost complete feeling in the lower half of his body. In my nightmares, I can still hear Calderon screaming, getting carted off as Nesterovic and Garbajosa looked on with great concern. Of course, the Raptors had built an incredible lead that begun to evaporate as Calderon’s teammates were distracted and Golden State began to hit three after three. This year, on Italia Day, the Raptors play a vastly different Warriors …

Doug and Jackie Christie are no ordinary married couple. From his time playing in the NBA to Jackie’s striving fashion business, they have never been far away from each others hearts. It takes two strong people to fulfill a marriage in a way that the Christie’s do daily. Even with critics arising, they seem to overcome and stand strong with each other. I had the pleasure of talking to both Doug and Jackie in regards to several topics including Doug’s NBA career, Jackie’s fashion business and their TV show. We …

It’s hard playing poker and watching the game. However, it was a pretty good night. The Raptors won and I won, so I’d say that both of us got the most out of last night.
I’ve been criticized about my pessimism in the last two games. Although those games lead to a win and a close loss, the flaws in the Raptors’ sets made those games feel like the Raptors were out of sync. High turnovers were especially a concern due to the fact they were largely a result …

Never ever did I ever once think that I would fall for the Atlanta Hawks. Ever. With their disgusting ketchup and mustard jerseys and their lack of players worth mentioning or even watching, I despised this team. Even worse, I forgot this team existed.
Point guards, power forwards, centres, you name it, if they called themselves a Hawk, they were irrelevant. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Glenn Robinson, Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Antoine Walker hoisting jumpers throughout the years and nobody cared. Not about them or anything. Whether …

We’re live in Toronto!
Chris Clarke here, writing my first real post on Hoops Addict. I know Ryan is at the game, and he’ll be filing a report for Hoops World, so it will be interesting to see if he and I pick up on similar things. I’m sure a thing here and there, but I’m usually more interested in how disheveled Garbajosa looked than the kind of defence the Raptors played.
So starting tonight for Toronto: Bosh, Ford, Parker, Moon…and Maceo Baston? Man, this Raps starting lineup is getting strange. Are …

There are few teams that I absolutely hate watching the Raptors play against. On any given night, I usually believe the Raptors could beat their adversary, but out of all the teams in the league, I absolutely hate watching the Raptors play the Jazz. For whatever reason, the Raptors always seem to match up poorly against them and it’s not just in one area. The Raptors always seem to get pulled into the Jazz’s pace. While I’m sure that today the entire Raptors nation is blaming TJ Ford for his poor decision-making coming down the …

New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury, along with center Eddie Curry, were told they were not starting against the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night. Marbury was said to be upset about being benched and was reported to have made several disparaging remarks about Knick head coach, Isiah Thomas. Yesterday, the Knicks fined Marbury for approximately $195,000 for leaving the team - presumably in a huff - without permission. Marbury, however, is appealing his fine indicating that he was granted permission by the Knicks to take a short leave from the …
