I was born in 83 and Scottie Pippin and MJ etc. were the ones I grew up watching that is when I thought the game of basketball was truly exciting no show boats maybe one or two but it was truly a team sport.
I myself dont want them to tarnish there legacy by coming back and not being able to perform just as well as they did in there younger years.
Do I think they could teach these young showboaters coming fresh in to the league no doubt great basketball players but terrible sportsmanship no respect for the game something definately.
OG's want to come back not for the ring but simpy for the love of the game!!!!! and yes maybe to recapture that great feeling they had when they were younger stepping out on the court and embracing the enjoyment for the game they love so much and played so well!!!!!!!!!
Maybe they should make an Original NBA for players over 40..Lets get MJ and Scottie, and the Mailman back out there but playing against each other now would that not be SWEET!!!!

I blame MJ.
Honestly, he's the guy that came back twice, so I think a lot of players feel that if MJ can do it, then they can do it.

Actually, let's look at it another way... Rodman's won a championship ring, but he loves the limelight, and is probably not well off financially. The rest are all "recognizable" names that never won a championship, and that seems to be the main motivation. They want to be a Gary Payton, or Michael Finley....
